Single(s): $70 (sliding rate per song, until “album” at 8+ songs)
Full Album: $400 (8 – 12 songs, 40mins approx.)

I use analog and digital gear to get the best tone & balance out of your mixes, and organize the audio for release.

“What is Mastering?”

Preparing music for release – with tonal balance adjustments, song sequencing, and file organization.

Basically, it’s making your mixes sound as good as possible and readying the album for release.

More technically, it’s small EQ adjustments, light compression, and some amount of clipping or limiting; before exporting files best suited for your release.

Process

I like to work in phases. I start by sequencing the songs and making coarse adjustments, then revisit making smaller adjustments until it’s complete.

Turnaround time is about 2 – 3 weeks from receiving mixes.

deliverables

For single songs, a single WAV file is prepared.

For releases with 2+ songs, master files are prepared for:

• Digital Distribution (WAV, for upload)
• Sided Media Production (WAV with PQ sheet for vinyl/cassette)
• CD (Disc Image)
• Full sequence (WAV)
