Mixing

I love to mix! It’s fun to hear new songs & sounds, and see how they’ve been built; and it’s an honor to be asked to mix an album that’s already been labored over.

Rates

Day: $350
Hourly: $50
Song: $300* (approx, *please reach out to discuss fixed-budget / all-in rate with revisions)

My studio Tastefully Loud is setup just for mixing & mastering. I designed and built it, so it’s made to help me shape sounds exactly as I want to. I’m looking for. It’s a very detailed listening environment.

Process

I mix with Pro Tools (and some analog effects here and there), so recall and revisions are easy.

We can get together in-person or I can mix remotely, with notes over email. Or some combination of the two: meeting up after a first draft, or starting together and finishing over email. I’m flexible.

Editing

If needed, I can tune vocals, fix loose timing, rearrange song sections, add new layers, etc. Any and all editing I can handle…

But mixing is about getting the tone right, not changing the performances in a song. Unless we talk about it, I’ll assume that you don’t want major edits.

“Deliverables”

When finished mixes have your approval, I send final versions as full-res stereo WAV files.

Stems & alternate mixes are only printed upon request (this takes a few hours for an album).

I can provide a copy of the Pro Tools session files upon request (you will need to supply a USB drive).
